Cystinosis Ireland held the 9th Annual Dublin Cystinosis Workshop from 13 – 15 April in the amazing @barretstown We also held our Family Workshop and took the opportunity to celebrate 20 years of our work. It was an incredible weekend with more than 100 patients, family members, clinicians and scientists gathering to learn together and increase our understanding of research into this ultra rare disease.
At the DCW, two prizes were awarded to up and coming researchers who presented their current work. Huge congratulations to Louise Medaer and Hayley Chang on winning the Professor Roz Anderson Memorial Prize and the Cystinosis Ireland Award for Best Oral Presentation to a Non Scientific Audience respectively. The prize winners receive a €200 bursary and an invitation to present at the 10th Annual Dublin Cystinosis Workshop in 2024. We look forward to watching their future research come to life!
