Hello all, my name is Bill Leacy, and I will run in the Los Angeles Marathon on 19 March in honour of my friend, Darren Barnes. Darren and his brother Graham both suffered from the effects of cystinosis until they both passed recently. This will be the 6th continent of 7 in a marathon challenge where I typically raise money for a charity for each race. I want to bring more general awareness to cystinosis and try to contribute towards the battle against it. This is a particular honour for me as Darren was such a truly great person who lived with positivity and battled to the end.
