Tracey's challenges for cystinosis!
Cystinosis is an ultra-rare disease, so rare it affects 1 in 100,000 to 200,000 newborns worldwide. On the island of Ireland 23 people live with cystinosis. To date there is no cure for this illness. It is so incredibly important to us to find a cure for cystinosis. Tracey McCauley, our Research Manager, has taken on a series of 6 challenges over 6 months to help raise awareness of cystinosis but most importantly to help raise funds that will contribute to the vital research into finding a cure for cystinosis.
Challenges
April: Ride Dingle Cycle, Co. Kerry
May: Cycle the Lakes, Blessington, Co. Wicklow
June: The Edge Sports Blackwater Triathlon, Fermoy, Co. Cork
July: Kilkenny Triathlon, Co. Kilkenny
August: Swim Ireland Greystones Open Water Swim, Co. Wicklow
September: Hardman Valentia Island Triathlon, Co. Kerry
If you would like to support Tracey, by donating anything at all, please use this link and type “Tracey’s 6-month challenge” in the text box. Every penny will go straight to Cystinosis Ireland to invest in research and provide supports to patients and their families.
